Make Art Every Day.

Studio Calendars for 2025

What kind of artist would you become if you committed to your creativity every day?

For so many of us, the gap between our imaginations and reality can feel overwhelming. As a young artist, I often felt stuck—overflowing with ideas but unable to find the tools or discipline to transform them into something tangible.

Turning to books and essays about the creative process, one theme emerged again and again: the connection between creativity and routine. At first, it seemed counterintuitive—how could something so deeply unglamorous bring about a cosmic vision? But as I tip-toed towards this idea, I found that the more consistent I was, the more deeply I connected with my sense of curiosity and creative energy.

Over time, I stopped berating myself for what I had yet to accomplish and redefined my own sense of success. Instead of focusing on the distant, polished version of my dream creations, I zeroed in on what I could control: how often I showed up to my studio. This mindset shift changed everything. Even today, with ongoing projects and external goals, my main measure of success remains the same—how consistently I make time for my creative practice.

This philosophy is what inspired the 2025 Studio Calendar, a tool to help artists commit to their creativity daily. It's simple: a calendar grid for the entire year, where each day is a blank square waiting to be filled. Whether you make art for fifteen minutes or several hours, the point is to document your effort, to create a visual record of your consistency.

This year’s calendars feature gold, silver and black stickers to mark a day of creative work.

How to Use a Studio Calendar

  1. Set Your Intention
Decide what “showing up” means to you. It could be sketching, painting, writing, or brainstorming—whatever keeps you connected to your creative work.

  2. Mark Your Progress
Each day you engage in your practice, mark the corresponding square on the log. A simple checkmark, a doodle or stickers provided will do.

  3. Celebrate the Streak
Watch as the days add up. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s progress. Even if you miss a day, get back to it the next. Over time, the Studio Calendar becomes a testament to your dedication, a memento to a year spent making.

  4. Reflect and Adjust
At the end of each month, look back at your log. Are there patterns? Are certain times of the day or week more productive? Use these insights to refine your routine.

By the end of the year, your Studio Calendar will be more than just a log—it’ll be a visual diary of your creative journey, a testament to your commitment, and a reminder of how far you’ve come. So, what kind of artist could you become in 2025? With the right tools and daily dedication, there’s no limit to where your creativity can take you.
